Chickpeas
General Description
Chickpeas or Garbanzo beans originated in the Middle East, and were first cultivated around 3000 BC. They have a delicious nutlike taste and a texture that is buttery, yet somewhat starchy and pasty. Andes Harvest grows Chickpeas of the Kabuli-type variety from our Argentinian farmlands where they are also cleaned, processed, sized and then exported to the world.
Health Benefits
Rich in Fiber, protein and antioxidants, chickpeas have a good combination of components for healthy weight loss, improving digestion and reducing blood sugar levels which inherently inhibit appetite.
